Flooding damages Washburn's offices
Washburn Center for Children's Minneapolis office experienced flood damage in early December.
A plumbing issue on the second floor caused one to two inches of water damage in Washburn's offices and classrooms. The front lobby and front offices were the hardest hit and require remodeling.
The Day Treatment and Family Focused classrooms were closed for a week while cleaning crews dried out the carpet and replaced ceiling tiles. Since children in these two programs were unable to attend Washburn's therapeutic classroom, therapists traveled to the children's schools to offer support to both the child and teachers.
Washburn Center for Children apologizes for any inconvenience this flooding caused the children and families we serve.
