May is National Mental Health Month

An alarming 67 - 70% of children in juvenile detention have at least one mental health disorder.
Washburn's therapeutic treatment helps children with social, emotional and behavioral problems so they are less likely to:
-- fail or drop out school
-- attempt or commit suicide
-- be at risk for involvement in the juvenile justice system.

Left untreated, children's mental health issues have a detrimental impact on their futures and our community.

During May – National Mental Health Month - we acknowledge that Washburn’s work is more than therapeutic services, it is where brighter futures begin.
