Washburn’s Chief Operating Officer to speak at National Conference

Tom Steinmetz, chief operating officer at Washburn Center for Children, will speak at the 41st National Council Mental Health and Addictions Conference in San Diego in May.

Steinmetz will discuss Washburn’s implementation of a data-driven, performance-based compensation model.  Since its inception, the model has dramatically improved Washburn’s revenue, budgeting accuracy and accountability.  The hands-on, practical tools and process will be shared, and a facilitated group discussion will highlight the challenges and benefits of implementing performance-based compensation models in non-profit settings.

The NCCBH Conference will feature former President Bill Clinton along with 2,500 leaders and practitioners from mental health agencies across the country.  The conference will focus on examining health care reform, and its impact on mental health, through workshops and networking events.  Speakers will also present new technologies and leadership strategies to improve mental health treatments.
