Agency Description
With over 125 years as a non-profit agency
serving children and families, Washburn Center for Children is
the leader in helping children with social, emotional and behavioral
problems and their families. All services are designed to develop
skills, resolve problems and connect with resources to help the
child be more successful at home, in school and in the community.
Washburn Center for Children strives to integrate innovative research
into program practice, implement meaningful evaluation methods and
provide effective training and consultation for agency staff and
community collaborators.
Comprehensive assessment, treatment, consultation
and prevention services are available:
- Outpatient assessment and treatment
- In-home family services and parent groups for
families at-risk for abuse and neglect through the Family Focused
and Chemical Health Programs
- Intensive Day Treatment and Home Front home-based
services for children with serious emotional and behavioral difficulties
- Outreach consultation and training services
for child care and preschool programs
