Washburn donors have the satisfaction of knowing
their support helps sustain the programs which help children and
their families gain skills, resolve problems, and lead successful
lives in our community. Consider making a financial contribution
to Washburn Center for Children and know that you will be investing

To donate by mail please print and complete our donation
form.
3. Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Remember someone special with a memorial or tribute gift to Washburn Center for Children. All memorial and honor gifts will be acknowledged
through a personal note sent by Washburn Center for Children to
the honored person(s). If you would like to make a tax-deductible
contribution in memory of, in tribute or in honor of someone, or
to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, or wedding, please contact
mthao@washburn.org.
4. Bequests
One of the simplest planned gifts is a bequest through your will
in which you designate either a specific dollar amount or a percentage
of your estate after other disbursements. In addition to supporting
Washburn Center for Children, it serves as an example to your
heirs of the values and ideals you hold dear. A bequest also can
reduce the amount of your taxable estate, which may increase the
actual amount available to loved ones.
5. Stock Gifts
Both gifts of stock and closely-held stock are accepted by the agency.
Additionally, you receive a tax-deduction and capital gains can
be avoided. Gifts of stock, bonds, or other property that you have
owned for more than one year are deductible at the full fair market
value. The fair market value is based on the average of the high
and low traded price of the security on the date of the gift. To

6. Matching Gifts
Several companies offer a matching gift program. Please contact
your company representative to see if they make this option available
to their employees.
7. Toy Drive
Our Annual Toy Drive provides gifts for the holiday season for children,
siblings, and parents who are a part of Washburn Center for Children Programs. Donations for these gifts come from corporations,
individuals, and various other organizations. In 2005, we had over
450 requests for gifts. If you would like to help by donating gifts
